Will somebody *please* inform CNN’s editors the proper way to spell the plural of “alumnus”? They keep using the singular form in a plural context, and I want to scream. Somebody over there is making good money and not doing their job.
As for the article itself… I’m expecting that the folks behind American Idol will manage to once again produce a crap album from a contestant I liked. Time will tell. Blake Lewis uses weasel words to call this “the right album at its time”, which basically says to me that it’s not the right album at all, but he’s got to pray it does well so he can do it right (maybe) the second time around. I got burned by Bo Bice (loved him on the show, bought his CD and can’t stand a single song), and I decided not to even bother with Taylor Hicks (and it appears that was a good decision), so I’m not holding my breath here.

If you got burned by Bo, check out his second CD. He went indie and did things his way. It’s a really great album.

Don’t pass anymore judgement until you listen to Bo’s new CD “See The Light”, available at WalMart. This CD is the way it should have been all along. You will love it.
When it comes to Hicks you might try his indie music. My favorites.
He put out two CDs before he was on American Idol. In Your Time and
Under The Radar. You can listen to both and some of his other performances
before American Idol here.

My guess is you’ve never seen Taylor Hicks in person…he is a totally different performer.
