One thing I miss about Gentoo is the warm glow of satisfaction that comes from having updated packages to install, nearly every single day. I had that again when I started running the beta versions of Gutsy Gibbon, but since Gutsy launched, the flood of updates slowed to a trickle, and now seems to have stopped entirely. While it’s nice to know my system is stable and not in need of any updates, I still miss getting updates. There’s just something satisfying about continuously moving forward. I’m anxiously awaiting the first Alpha release of Hardy Heron so that I can get my fix on a regular basis again.
